Hyalite Summer Solstice Archival Print

from $65.00

Archival-certified print of my original painting, “Hyalite Summer Solstice,” available on paper or canvas.

While this piece honors many collective memories playing in Hyalite Canyon, it really makes me think of one magical summer solstice: I painted most of the day by myself in and out of the rain at the reservoir, frustrated but enchanted by the dynamic lighting. By the evening, the storms cleared and friends showed up with pizza and whiskey and bubbles and glow sticks and we danced and skinny dipped and it really was the ‘Hyalite’ of the whole summer.

A meager attempt to capture the epic view of Lochsa Canyon from the Castle Butte Lookout. Hard to do it justice.
